Text Messaging
To better enable your organization to receive donations online, GiveCentral allows for three types of text messaging/text-to-give :
-Allows the donors to text their contact information (first name, last name, email address) to a phone number designated for that location. This information is automatically sent to your GiveCentral database to build your contact list.
-Donors can make donations to their Appeal through texting – these donations can be in response from an ask from the parish or Diocese, or the donor can self-select to text a donation.
-Unlike other text-to-give programs where the donation is charged to the donor’s phone bill, the money is attributed to their GiveCentral account, and visible through all reporting automatically.
-Text Announcements
-This gives the ability for the Diocese to message all donors en masse. (Meant for use for announcements such as a Christmas Thank you, or a reminder of the school carnival).
System Functionality
Administrators have the ability to set frequencies for each contribution :
- Reporting is done in real-time.
- Location administrators can request reports to be sent to the proper location staff member on a scheduled basis (i.e. the transaction report to the finance manager monthly).
