The year 2020 has had a lot of negatives, but Catholics and friends of Catholic parishes, schools, and ministries across the country made an incredible impact on Giving Tuesday. Archdiocese of Cincinnati raised more than $1.4 million this year nationally from 3367 donors for 137 ministries.
As predicted many donors focused in a spiritual way on this annual celebration of charity by participating in the “#GiveCatholicAOC” campaign, a nationwide effort towards raising much-needed funds for Catholic charities in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
‘Giving Tuesday’ sees record donations
The Stewardship Department at the Archdiocese of Cincinnati for year’s Giving Tuesday initiative worked closely with our team at GiveCentral.
GiveCentral is an online donation tool. We also work with over 30 other dioceses and over 1,200 parishes nationally.
We helped the Archdiocese run a 360 degree fundraising campaign promoted well through emails and social media. Their donors had the ability to make gifts from their computer, mobile phones, and through text-to-give- and these tactics helped them exceed their goal of $500,000 by a huge margin.
We set up giving pages for all the participating parishes associated with the archdiocese and also provided them with access to make edits, and guided trainings to help them make the most of the fundraising tool.
Our platform helped manage all donor and donation information as well.

This is the largest collection for the Archdiocese of Cincinnati for Giving Tuesday in the last 3 years but parishioners have demonstrated their generosity many times in the past.
